Welcome to the BU-Funded Supplementary Gift Catalog Page

Welcome to the “BU-Funded Supplementary Gift Catalog”, a discretionary resource allowing managers to acknowledge meaningful personal moments in employees’ lives when personally funding a gift is not feasible. Managers may use their cost center to purchase approved gifts for eligible personal events or milestones.

Use this catalog to express sympathy, understanding, or celebration for the following life events:

Marriage
Birth of a child or adoption
Bereavement (death of a loved one)
Serious illness or injury

The “BU-Funded Supplementary Gift Catalog” Catalog and the Recognition at HP program serve different purposes:

  • The Recognition at HP program is intended to acknowledge achievements, performance, or milestones directly related to an employee’s professional role.
  • The “BU-Funded Supplementary Gift Catalog” Catalog is reserved for personal life events and should not be used for professional recognition including service anniversary and retirement gifts. Through the Recognition at HP program, employees will automatically receive service anniversary gifts (Tokens of Appreciation in most countries) when they reach certain service milestones.
  • Personal life event gifts should only be managed through the “BU-Funded Supplementary Gift Catalog”, not the Recognition program.

Additional program policies:

  • The “BU-Funded Supplementary Gift Catalog” must not be used for gifts directed to contingent workers.
  • The “BU-Funded Supplementary Gift Catalog” Catalog is available only to managers with employees in implemented countries. All costs, including taxes, will be charged to the manager’s cost center because this is a discretionary program with no predefined annual budget is allocated. Monthly reports will be generated to monitor catalog activity.

The “BU-Funded Supplementary Gift Catalog” in P360 is the preferred channel for procuring gifts when personally funding a gift is not feasible.
